LEAD Forward was founded in 2015 at East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, NC. Started as an after school program to help students develop leadership skills, LEAD has grown over the years alongside the dozens of students who have walked through our doors.

Today, LEAD is at the forefront of combatting obstacles to upward mobility in East Charlotte through a holistic approach to leadership development and entrepreneurship.

Built on the core principals of character development, community service, academic achievement, entrepreneurship, and teamwork, LEAD Forward is a space where the next generation of leaders and business owners in Charlotte are born.
